Welcome…

…to the new Gracemail website…

Gracemail is a simple and free email service that is available to anyone on referral by an existing member…

Mailboxes are now 2GB in size and available via traditional POP access or the newer IMAP service. Service details are available on the right.

As the server changes have kicked in, we’ve been made aware that some members are getting server identity warning messages when using imap.gracemail.com and smtp.gracemail.com – particularly when using the more secure SSL and TLS configurations.

This is because the “actual” email server name is *.stackmail.com and the *.gracemail.com is really just an alias…SSL doesn’t approve of this tom-foolery, so the server raises a warning – it can be safely accepted/ignored but in order to avoid it entirely, we’ve changed our recommend server settings to be *.stackmail.com.

This should be a change you can make on your phone or computer without affecting the service at all.

Hi – just to confirm that everything has now moved over to our new web/email hosting platform – this should be faster and more reliable as well as offering significantly more email storage for each member.

We apologise again for the inconvenience/disruption caused and expect a golden period of stability from now on!!

If you have any issues or questions please don’t hesitate to email or call us for support.

If you have been collecting your email via POP (or POP3) on a smartphone, please DO NOT delete the existing account as this will permanently delete all you emails!!

We’re really sorry for any inconvenience but last week we were forced to upgrade our hosting service…Gracemail.com has been running on the same server for around 8 years and last week we had an issue because the server was now unsupported and vulnerable.

As a result of the upgrades, we’ve had to change the server settings (please see the new details to the right), and also your account password…we sent your new password to your email address along with these new settings just before the upgrade, but it’s possible (likely) that you might not have received this.

If you need your new password, please call us on 01223 903 800.

The upgrade is ultimately a good thing…it had actually been planned for July anyway…the new servers offer us an unlimited number of mailboxes (the old server limited us to just 40!!!), as well as allowing us to offer much larger mailboxes (2000Mb instead of the current 100Mb). If you need a larger mailbox at some stage in the future, please contact us!!

The other significant improvement is a really nice webmail interface…!
